David Cox is a General Partner with
Dogwood Equity and joined the firm in 2004 as a Vice President. Previously,
Mr. Cox worked as an operational Vice President with Harren
Equity Partners. Prior to that, Mr. Cox worked as an associate
at Thomas Weisel Venture Partners, a $250 million venture
capital firm and as an investment banker at Thomas Weisel
Partners. He also worked as an investment banker
in the Leveraged Finance Group of SG Cowen Securities
and their $400 million merchant banking arm, SG Capital
Partners; where Mr. Cox executed over $2.5 billion in debt
and equity financing for financial sponsors and companies.
Mr. Cox received a M.B.A. from the Darden School of Business
at the University of Virginia and a B.A. in History from
the University of Virginia where he won three NCAA championships
with the men’s soccer team.
